Pasanga Run ’25 Draws Nearly 200 Participants, Surpassing Expectations

Pasanga Run ’25 recorded an unexpectedly strong turnout this morning as nearly 200 runners gathered at Taman Metropolitan Park, exceeding the organisers’ initial cap of 150 participants. The overwhelming response underscored the continued popularity of the Pasanga franchise and its ability to engage families and fans alike.

Although the run officially began at 7.45am, participants arrived well before sunrise. According to director Dr. Vimala Perumal, one hopeful runner reached the venue as early as 5.50am in an effort to secure a walk-in registration slot a gesture that organisers say reflects the community’s growing enthusiasm for the event.

Creator and producer Denes Kumar said the idea behind organising Pasanga Run ’25 stemmed from the family-oriented nature of the series.
“Pasanga has always been about family,” he said. “We wanted to encourage people of all ages to come together, stay active, and enjoy a meaningful activity with the Pasanga cast ahead of the Season 3 premiere.”

Denes also teased that the momentum from the run is only a preview of what viewers can expect from the upcoming season.

“If this run has sparked excitement, Season 3 will amplify it even further. It’s filled with unexpected twists,” he said.
