
Malaysian feature film MACAI has secured five nominations at the 11th Anugerah Majlis Pengkritik Filem Kuala Lumpur (AMPFKL), reaffirming its standing as one of the notable local productions of the year.
The film is nominated in the following categories:
- Best Film – MACAI
- Best Director – Sun-J Perumal
- Best Actor – Karnan Kanapathy
- Best Supporting Actor – Kuben Mahadevan
- Best Cinematography – Gwai Lou
The nominations recognize the film’s achievements across both creative and technical categories, highlighting the contributions of its cast and production team.
In a statement, the filmmakers expressed gratitude to the Kuala Lumpur Film Critics Awards and the AMPFKL organizing committee for their continued efforts in supporting and celebrating Malaysian cinema.
