KUALA LUMPUR, 12 January 2026: Calling all families, tourists and culture enthusiasts. Kuala Lumpur Tower invites the public to experience the city skyline like never before this weekend, from 16 to 18 January 2026, as it launches a vibrant, family-friendly activation in support of the national Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.
As part of this festive kick-off, the Tower will be transformed into a lively celebration hub featuring the “100 Bear Exhibition” and special appearances by Visit Malaysia 2026 mascots Wira and Manja, bringing national tourism icons into one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks.
The activation reflects Kuala Lumpur Tower’s focus on experiential tourism, where visitors are invited to engage directly with the destination through interactive mascot encounters, themed photo zones and live cultural performances, rather than simply sightseeing. This experience-led approach supports Visit Malaysia 2026’s objective of creating memorable, family-friendly tourism moments at iconic national landmarks.
Why You Should Visit This Weekend
1. The “100 Bear” Takeover
Get your cameras ready. The 100 Bear Exhibition features 100 life-sized mascot statues — 50 Wira and 50 Manja — inspired by the Malayan Sun Bear, a native and protected Malaysian species. Displayed across the Tower Terrace, Observation Deck and Sky Terrace, these photo-friendly mascot displays offer memorable family moments set against panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur.
2. A Historic Mascot Meet-and-Greet
For the first time, Visit Malaysia 2026 mascots Wira and Manja will appear together with Kuala Lumpur Tower’s own mascots, Kay Elle and Tawa. This special “Mascot Summit” offers interactive photo opportunities, complimentary mascot hand fans for early visitors, and eye-catching giant outdoor balloon installations and an event arch at the Tower entrance.
3. Rhythm of the City
Adding cultural flair to the experience, every mascot appearance will be accompanied by live traditional Malay Kompang performances, bringing the rhythm and heritage of Malaysia to the peak of the city.
“This collaboration supports the Visit Malaysia 2026 agenda by positioning Kuala Lumpur Tower as a high-visibility platform for national tourism storytelling. Through simple, engaging and family-friendly experiences, we are pleased to contribute to amplifying Malaysia’s tourism message for both local and international visitors,” said En. Khairil Faizal Hj Othman, Chief Executive Officer of LSH Service Master Sdn. Bhd.
He added, “We invite the public to join us in reinforcing Kuala Lumpur Tower’s role as a key destination in Malaysia’s tourism journey towards Visit Malaysia 2026.
